My Weekly Skincare Routine.

I have a fairly complex skincare routine as I have always struggled with acne, textured skin and generally problematic skin. Read on to find out how I keep my skin in good condition and what products I use in the day time, and night time.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays;

Morning – I start with Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean cleanser to cleanse my skin, and pat dry with a clean towel. I then apply my favourite day time moisturiser; The Body Shop’s Vitamin C Skin Reviver, all over my face. I add No7’s Youthful Skin Eye Serum generously around my eyes and pat it in.

Night time – If I’ve worn makeup I will remove it with Garnier’s Micellar Water and cotton pads, if not I will just wash my face with S&G’s Peaches and Clean, (I only exfoliate on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday). I then apply The Ordinary’s 2% Advanced Retinoid. This is a recent addition to my skincare regime and I have found it has really helped with my skins texture and pigmentation. I leave the Retinoid serum on overnight and wash off in the morning.

How my skin if after a shower th night after using The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2%m smooth and texture is minimal!

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays;

Morning – I will start with S&G’s Peaches and Clean to cleanse my skin and remove the Retinoid serum. Next I use The Body Shop’s Vitamin C Microdermabrasion to exfoliate my skin and remove any dead skin cells. I will then apply TBS’s Vitamin C Skin Reviver  to moisturise my face, and No7’s Youthful Skin Eye Serum around the eyes to brighten them up for the day.

Night time – In the evening I will do the same as the other days by removing my makeup with Garnier’s Micellar Water and cleanse my skin with S&G’s Peaches and Clean. As I only apply the Retinoid 3 times a week I use a hydrating sleep mask on 3 of the other days. The mask I use is Oh K! Sleep Mask which is a super hydrating gel formula that leaves your skin baby soft by the morning and also feeling firm and hydrated.

Cringey picture of me with my night time products..don’t iudge. 😉 also super shiny from the gel sleep mask, love it!

Sundays;

Morning – The same as all the other days, I start with S&G’s Peaches and Clean to cleanse my skin but this time using a face wash brush to lightly exfoliate my skin. I will then apply TBS’s Vitamin C Skin Reviver  to moisturise my face, and No7’s Youthful Skin Eye Serum around the eyes to hydrate and brighten them, as you can see in the picture below! (Still a bit puffy from waking up)

Night time – In the night time I will remove my makeup with Garnier’s Micellar Water and open my pores with a washcloth and hot water. I will then apply Neutrogena’s Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask as a mask and leave to dry. I wash this off after 15 minutes and splash my face with cold water. Once my face is patted dry I apply TBS’s Vitamin C Skin Reviver, and on top of this I apply TBS’s Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser which is a gel formula that visibly awakens my skin by the time I get up in the morning.

Summary;

I believe that all of these steps combined have really contributed to the condition of my skin and the improved texture of my skin overall.
