My Top 5 Lip Products!

Hey guys, it's Rebbekah again! I'm back with another makeup related post to give you guys the insight into some quality products worth getting! This won't just be about lipsticks; but two liquid lipsticks, two glosses and a lip plumper! Lets get started!

1) Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lip – £16.00

Wear time – 9/10 Comfort – 8/10 Pigment – 10/10

I honestly believe that if you are after the perfect liquid lip formula, this is it. I now own 7 shades, and my eighth is currently on route to my house via BeautyBay.com. I honestly cannot fault the formula at all, and each shade has been consistent since my first purchase in 2015. It's comfortable to wear for long periods of time and doesn't ball up like some other liquid lips I have tried do. It works super well with a gloss over the top, and doesn't smear if you use a topper either! I could go on for hours about this brand, and how great it is for the price but hopefully you get the idea!

2) Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipsticks £13.00/$17.00

Wear time – 7/10  Comfort – 6/10  Pigment – 10/10

Now, before everyone jumps on the "we hate Kardashians" bandwagon hear me out, over the last year her formula has changed massively, and for the better! I got my first Kylie Lip Kit in 2016 when the whole brand first launched. Just like everyone else I was sucked in by her full lips, and felt like her lip kits would make mine look just as good.. obviously this was unrealistic but I bought two kits anyway, Posie K and Koko K. Now call me unhygienic if you must, but I still have and use them now. Last month I bought the Ginger Lipstick, as I grew a profound hatred for the lip pencils in the kits as they always always alwaysssss snapped. And the lipsticks work fine without them. I have now noticed that the formula, while already decent to begin with, is much better and more comfortable.

3) Soap & Glory Extreme Plump £10.00

Wear time – N/A Comfort – 8/10 Pigment N/A

If you guys are anything like me, then you will have had the endless struggle of wanting plumper lips without cosmetic enhancements..and I've finally found the answer! This lip plumper has a very thick formula so it plumps for a decent amount of time before it wears off, unlike a normal gloss that wears off before you leave the house. It is also the only lip plumper I have found that actually visibly plumps my lips. This may sound silly but a lot of other lip plumpers are more hydrating than actually plumping. Extreme Plump has a mild to intense buzzing sensation on your lips, depending on the person, so you know that it must be doing something!

4) No7 High Shine Lip Gloss £9.00 (on sale for £4.50)

Wear time – 9/10 Comfort – 10/10 Pigment – 7/10

No7's formulas have always surprised me since I started using them, and product after product I use have never disappointed! This is yet another perfect find! Each shade has a very high shine application that remains for a good few hours, if you aren't eating or drinking that is. As with any gloss this isn't intended for super long wear time, but it is one of the best I've used for this. The glosses have a mild pigmentation so that they slightly alter the shade of the lipstick underneath it. This is personally what I look for in a gloss, and No7 tick all the boxes.

5) Kylie Jenner Super Glitter Gloss, $15.00/£11.42

Wear time – 8/10 Comfort – 7/10 Pigment – N/A

Yet another Kylie product, please don't hate me, but I think I've found another hit! Admittedly, I am a bit of a makeup collector and only really got this as it's the only thing that didn't sell out from the Summer Collection 2017. Nonetheless I received both shades, Glitz and Glamour, and fell in love straight away, well for the most part. The gloss has large glitter in it, not finely milled so it is gritty on the lips, however this is to be expected with the SuperGlitterGloss name. It wears for a long time, not as long as the No7 gloss but I assume this has something to do with the glitter and not the formula itself. They both have unique reflects, one is gold and the other is rose gold, so it isn't as if they look the same on. Also they layer beautifully on top of a matte liquid lip, and a normal lipstick or stain too!

Thanks so much for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed learning about my top 5 ride or die lip products! If you have any obsession-worthy lip products then feel free to comment below and tell me of them so I can try them out!

Lots of love,

R.
